The 2010 CALAFCO Annual Achievement Awards are now open for nominations. The awards recognize outstanding achievements by dedicated and committed individuals to LAFCo and LAFCo principles throughout the state. There are categories of awards for individuals, LAFCos and local agencies. Awards will be presented at a special banquet during the CALAFCO Annual Conference in Palm Springs. Deadline for award nominations is 8 September 2010.

Directors
Elections
|
Nominations are now open for the election of the 2011 CALAFCO Board of Directors. The elections this fall mark a major revision to the procedure for how Board Members are elected. For the first time Members will be elected by regions (four from each of the four regions) as approved by the membership in the recent bylaws amendment. In addition the Board has been expanded by one seat to 16 members. All 16 seats will be up for election. Elections will be held on Thursday, 7 October during regional caucuses at the CALAFCO Annual Conference in Palm Springs. For detailed information please download the Nominations Package. Deadline for Board nominations is Friday, 3 September. Nominations may also be made from the floor during the caucuses.

Proposal |
The El Dorado LAFCo is seeking proposals from qualified firms to design and implement an electronic document management and retrieval system. The scope of the project includes the (a) purchase, (b) set-up, and (c) training for all associated software and equipment necessary to support the project.
